Details & care
A handmade seed shaker that sounds like the ocean — and looks like wearable art. The Blue Tide Rattle pairs a dense cluster of hollow natural seed pods with a hand-dyed blue batik fabric handle, producing a powerful, rain-like rush of sound with every shake.
What Makes This Seed Shaker Different
Most seed shakers use a plain rope or wooden handle. The Blue Tide Rattle uses a wide strip of hand-dyed blue and white batik cotton — soft, non-slip, and visually striking. Attached to it is a dense cascade of large hollow seed pods and hard nuts, sewn in multiple rows for a full-bodied "wall of sound" effect. When shaken, the seeds collide to produce a loud, immersive sound that mimics crashing waves or heavy forest rain.
Sound Profile: Loud, Rain-Like & Immersive
- Powerful "water" texture: Dozens of large hollow pods and hard nuts create a rich, wet, rushing sound — ideal for sound baths, breathwork, and energy clearing.
- Full-bodied volume: Seeds sewn tightly in multiple rows produce a "wall of sound" with every movement — louder and more immersive than single-strand shakers.
- Natural variation: No two shakers sound exactly alike. Natural hollow shells may have slight cracks that contribute to the unique acoustic character.
Handmade Natural Percussion for Sound Healing & Music
- Sound healers & breathwork practitioners: The rain-like sound supports energy clearing, grounding rituals, and guided breathwork sessions.
- Musicians & world percussionists: Adds an organic, ethnic texture to any percussion set or live performance.
- Yoga & meditation teachers: Use as a transition cue or opening/closing ritual in group sessions.
- Batik & textile lovers: A functional instrument that doubles as a wall-hanging art piece — the blue and earthy brown contrast is visually striking.

Before You Buy: Natural Variation & Care
- Natural acoustics: Seeds are natural hollow shells. Minor cracks or holes are part of the material and contribute to the sound character — not defects.
- Hand-dyed fabric: The blue and white pattern varies on each piece due to the hand-dyeing process. Your shaker will be one of a kind.
- Handmade sizing: Dimensions and seed density may vary slightly between pieces.

The story behind the piece
Grounding
Pause for a moment. Take a deep breath. You don’t need to hike a thousand miles to find peace; you just need to listen. Let the raw, unpolished sound of the rainforest wash over you, grounding your spirit like an ancient tree taking root in the earth.
Raw Sounds from the Rainforest
Put on your headphones. This is the sound of the entada seeds, gathered from the deep rainforest floor. No tuning, no processing—just the raw resonance of the earth itself.
Gathered, Never Felled.
Our studio follows a strict rule: We do not cut living plants for our crafts. Every seed, vine, and piece of drift-wood is sustainably foraged from the rainforest floor after it has completed its natural lifecycle.
Because we rely on what the forest drops, our supply is seasonal and unpredictable. Each piece you own is a limited edition, curated by the wind and collected by human hands.
Own the Only One in Existence
Nature doesn't use molds. The seed chime you receive will vary slightly in shape, curve, and tone from the photos—because it is truly one-of-a-kind.
Once this batch from the rainy season harvest is gone, we cannot 'restock' until the forest provides again. Don't let this unique piece of the rainforest go to someone else.
