Details & care
A handcrafted instrument made from a hollow forest nut, producing a deep, meditative "tok-tok" sound.
The Story: A Pocket Sanctuary
"The Forest Woodblock" is inspired by the traditional "Muyu" (Wooden Fish) used in Zen temples, reimagined here with raw materials from the wild.
The body is a large, dried hollow fruit shell, naturally tuned to produce a warm, woody resonance. It comes with an attached striker—a small wooden mallet on a cord. Struck, the shell sounds an earthy, hollow beat. A strap of mixed Bodhi seeds and colorful beads makes it both a beautiful object and a working tool for mindfulness and stress relief.
Key Features
- Playable Instrument: Use the attached wooden mallet to strike the large hollow nut. It produces a satisfying, resonant woodblock sound.
- Large Hollow Resonator: The centerpiece is a massive, textured dark fruit shell (resembling a coconut or large pod) with a natural sound hole carved into it.
- Bodhi Seed Strap: The handle is a beaded loop of Phoenix Eye Bodhi, wooden beads, and pops of red/yellow. It fits comfortably over the wrist or hangs on a wall.
- Mindfulness Tool: Made for meditation, breathwork, or fidgeting. The rhythmic tapping helps focus the mind and calm anxiety.
- Raw & Rustic: The texture of the shell is rough and organic, preserving the touch of the tree it came from.

The story behind the piece
Grounding
Pause for a moment. Take a deep breath. You don’t need to hike a thousand miles to find peace; you just need to listen. Let the raw, unpolished sound of the rainforest wash over you, grounding your spirit like an ancient tree taking root in the earth.
Raw Sounds from the Rainforest
Put on your headphones. This is the sound of the entada seeds, gathered from the deep rainforest floor. No tuning, no processing—just the raw resonance of the earth itself.
Gathered, Never Felled.
Our studio follows a strict rule: We do not cut living plants for our crafts. Every seed, vine, and piece of drift-wood is sustainably foraged from the rainforest floor after it has completed its natural lifecycle.
Because we rely on what the forest drops, our supply is seasonal and unpredictable. Each piece you own is a limited edition, curated by the wind and collected by human hands.
Own the Only One in Existence
Nature doesn't use molds. The seed chime you receive will vary slightly in shape, curve, and tone from the photos—because it is truly one-of-a-kind.
Once this batch from the rainy season harvest is gone, we cannot 'restock' until the forest provides again. Don't let this unique piece of the rainforest go to someone else.
