What Is a Cactus Rainstick?
- The Yunicrafts Cactus Rainstick is a handcrafted natural instrument made from dried cactus stems. Seeds and small stones are sealed inside the hollow chamber.
- Slowly tilt the rainstick and the filling travels through its natural internal thorn structure, creating a soft, layered sound similar to falling rain.
- Each rainstick is shade-dried, hand-selected, and finished with traditional woven threads. Because every cactus stem grows differently, no two rainsticks look or sound exactly the same.

Natural spiral chamber
The cactus's internal thorn structure creates a winding path that slows the seeds and produces a rich, cascading rain sound. -
Carefully handcrafted
Only well-shaped stems with consistent internal walls are selected to create a smoother, more continuous sound. -
Slow shade-drying process
Each stem is naturally shade-dried for more than six months to stabilize the material and reduce cracking. -
Different sizes, different tones
Longer rainsticks create a longer rainfall effect, while thicker models produce a deeper and more resonant sound.

How to Play
- Rainfall Sound
Hold the rainstick vertically with both hands and slowly tilt it toward the opposite side. The slower you tilt, the softer and longer the rain effect will be.
- Breath Pacing
Raise the rainstick while inhaling and slowly tilt it while exhaling. One tilt per breath creates a simple rhythm for meditation and relaxation.
Shaker Rhythm
Hold it horizontally and gently shake it from side to side for a shorter, rhythmic sound similar to a natural shaker.
Care Instructions
- Keep the rainstick indoors and away from moisture.
- Avoid bathrooms, outdoor humidity and prolonged direct sunlight.
- Tilt gently instead of shaking forcefully.
- Remove dust with a soft, dry cloth.
- Do not use water, oils or cleaning sprays.

Put on your headphones. This is the sound of the entada seeds, gathered from the deep rainforest floor. No tuning, no processing—just the raw resonance of the earth itself.
Gathered, Never Felled.
Our studio follows a strict rule: We do not cut living plants for our crafts. Every seed, vine, and piece of drift-wood is sustainably foraged from the rainforest floor after it has completed its natural lifecycle.
Because we rely on what the forest drops, our supply is seasonal and unpredictable. Each piece you own is a limited edition, curated by the wind and collected by human hands.

Nature doesn't use molds. The seed chime you receive will vary slightly in shape, curve, and tone from the photos—because it is truly one-of-a-kind.
Once this batch from the rainy season harvest is gone, we cannot 'restock' until the forest provides again. Don't let this unique piece of the rainforest go to someone else.
